WELCOME SCIENCE TEACHERS
We are seeking science teachers to write science fair projects.
Our objective is to provide students with high quality, interesting projects that they can use as the basis for their science fair entries.
WHO ARE WE?
We're a group of teachers and professional communicators providing science fair project guides to kids in grades K-12th. We've been providing students with high quality science fair projects since 2000.
We own and operate several different web sites all devoted to providing quality education and information.
We have received the highest rating from the
Better Business Bureau for many years.
WHAT DO WE REQUIRE NOW?
We need about 200 new science fair projects in all disciplines designed for students looking for the higher level projects that will challenge them and possibly win an award.
All areas of science are included such as life science, physical science, chemistry, social science, computer science, environmental science and most any other area. We are interested in projects that are event specific, such as tsunamis, and global warming. We welcome projects that are holiday specific. We are interested in virtually every subject and area of interest.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
We pay $125 per project for 9th - 12th grade level projects. There are no royalties or indications of authorship. We own the project and may use it in any way that we see fit in our offerings.
If you are interested, please email us to mort@projectsfast.com with a very brief synopsis of the project that you have in mind. We will respond immediately giving you the ok to proceed.
Any questions: email to mort@projectsfast.com
After you have our approval to proceed and you complete a project, email the project to us in a WORD document. Send the project to mort@projectsfast.com
Please Note: Our immediate need is for High School level science fair projects. We also provide lower grade level science fair projects for which we also solicit writers from time to time. We pay $75 for lower level science fair projects. However, our current need is for High School level projects.
The outline for projects is as follows:
Title:
A brief one or two-line statement of what the project is all about.
|
Description:
Add a little more to the title so that the reader will be able to decide whether or not this is the project he/she would like to do. |
Background:
General background material to acquaint reader with the subject matter. The internet is a wonderful resource for every subject imaginable. We are usually generous in providing background information. It is advisable to get your information from several sources and edit this information for the project. Never copy any information. We strictly avoid plagiarism. |
Materials Needed:
Here is a list of what the student will need to do the project. If it is something not usually found around the house, in the kitchen or easily available, we tell the reader where to find the material and approximately how much it will cost .For instance "usually available from Radio Shack or similar store for about $9.95. " Sometimes we give them a general internet area and let them look it up. We try not to put in specific url's because they might change.
We avoid doing projects that may be dangerous. We advise that parental supervision is required if the procedure is marginal. |
Suggested Procedures:
Here is the meat of the project telling the student what to do. We often suggest options. For example we tell them to use three samples, but suggest that they might use five or six. We might tell them to repeat the procedure at a different temperature for example, or tell them that they might do it four or five times, each time at a different temperature.
Each project has about ten pages of generic material. It is exactly the same for every project. It will be added to the material that you send us. This material educates the student about the scientific method, hypotheses, variables, what judges are looking for, the use of graphs, charts, photographs, and artwork. This generic material takes the student by the hand and assists them, trying to anticipate questions that they may have about science fair. Use original graphics to help illustrate procedures.
Throughout the project, especially in the SUGGESTED PROCEDURES section, please use sketches, line drawings, original graphics, or anything that will show and help the student get the idea of how to proceed.
|
Tips for results:
Here we show typical charts, graphs or other displays that the student might use to log in their results. It would be helpful if you show them a bar chart or a graph or any graphic that you think will be helpful. You may use this section as a “catch all” for anything you wish to add.
In this section we may also include other things to think about, other questions to consider, other ways to enhance the project. All graphics, charts and related material MUST BE ORIGINAL. As stated before, WE NEVER PLAGIARIZE.
|
We currently have a number of science fair projects in our project library, mostly written for middle and lower grades. Our current list of science fair projects can be viewed here. Please DO NOT SEND PROJECTS WHICH ALREADY EXIST IN OUR PROJECT LIBRARY.
If you are looking for ideas to write about, you should surf the internet. There are thousands of science fair project ideas under related key word entries
